Come up your poker skills in this no-pressure, super-fun, poker-filled evening! Whether you're an ace or total beginner, you'll get some tips and play a real game (sans the actual money) with the awesome women of Project 1490.
Why Poker?
Poker is packed with life skills we have to use everyday. How to read the room. How to assess risk. How to communicate precisely what you want others to perceive.
But the fact is, very few girls are taught poker when we're young, it's primarily taught to boys. Only 3% of professional poker players are women.
We have a goal at Project 1490: have every woman who wants to, be able to confidently saddle up to a poker table whether that's at a friend's house or Vegas.
